Introducing El Faenza

El Faenza is an icon theme compilation to add a little more consistency to the elementary desktop.

Let's get this out of the way first: (1) The icon theme created by the elementary team is by far the best icon theme we've used. It's just a bit lacking. (2) The Elementary Extras project is incredibly promising, but it has a ways to go.

In the meantime, El Faenza combines the elementary theme with Faenza icons to bridge the gap that currently exists. Take a look at the screenshot below.
It's not for everyone, but if you'd like it, it's yours: To install, you will need root access. In the terminal:
gksudo pantheon-files
Paste the extracted elFaenza folder into /usr/share/icons/.

To activate the theme, select the elFaenza icon theme using Ubuntu Tweak.
This theme was not created by elementary update. It owes everything to the following people:
  • application icons: tiheum
  • Pastie panel icon: satya164
  • Dropbox panel icon: Help? Not sure where I found this one.
  • Caffeine and Deluge panel icons: Not sure where I found these either. Anyone know so I can give credit?
Finally, if there's anything strange, let us know in the comments and we'll fix it. Also, if we should add anything, let us know as well.
