Introducing Gazette

Gazette is a news service for your desktop. It currently shows the weather (via Yahoo Weather API), recently used files (via Zeitgeist), and global world news (via RSS-Feed).
You can turn on and off services from the system's settings.
You can even drag and drop elements to different places on your desktop, which is a nice feature.

At the moment, the only way to change the news and weather settings is through the dconf-editor (sudo apt-get install dconf-editor to install). In dconf-editor, navigate to org → pantheon → gazette.

To change the weather, visit weather.yahoo.com, and search for your location. Find your specific location ID number in the URL and paste in that number.
To install:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:gotwig/weekly
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install gazette
